California WIC Card

Goodbye paper checks! Butte County WIC is now issuing California WIC Cards, making it easier than ever to shop with your WIC benefits. Butte County started issuing new WIC Cards in September of 2019. While some parts of California are not on the card yet, the entire state will be switched over by the end of April 2020. Download the free California WIC App from your mobile device and connect it to your card today!

Benefits of the WIC Card:

  • Just buy the foods you need at each trip to the store
  • When eligible, benefits will be able to be uploaded remotely- which means less trips to the WIC office
  • Easier to use and less time in the checkout line
  • Lost/stolen cards with benefits on them will be able to be replaced
  • 24 hour phone assistance will be available
  • User friendly mobile app for checking your benefits in real-time
