The Butte County Application for Examination available from this website is a Mircosoft Word form document, and will NOT display and/or print correctly using any other program (including Microsoft Works). The Micorsoft Word Application can be downloaded and completely filled out on the computer, printed, and then mailed to the Department of Human Resources together with any supporting documents.If you do not have Microsoft Word, please select the the Adobe Acrobat form and use your printer to print the Application before completing it. Applications that are opened in the wrong program, and that are not properly formatted will be rejected by the Department of Human Resources.

In addition, in order to prevent alterations to the form, the Application for Examination has been password protected. If you need more space than is provided on the Application, please follow the directions for attaching additional sheets that are included on the Application itself.
