Homebuyer Assistance

The County participates in the Golden State Finance Authority's homebuyer assistance programs for residents looking to purchase a home in the unincorporated area of the County. Residents should contact them directly at 1.855.740.8422 or for questions regarding the assistance available. If residents are looking to purchase a home in one of the incorporated cities or town, residents should contact the city or town directly to see if they offer homebuyer assistance within their jurisdiction.

The Golden State Finance Authority (GSFA) offers homebuyer assistance programs featuring down payment assistance, mortgage credit certificates, energy efficiency financing and multi-family financing.

GSFA understands how much you want to own a home, and realizes the biggest challenge you may face when purchasing a home is coming up with the funds for the associated down payment and/or closing costs. Today, this is a challenge faced by the majority of homebuyers, not just first-time homebuyers. That is why GSFA offers a variety of housing related financial assistance programs.
