Planning

The Planning Division coordinates review of development projects; develops and implements the Butte County General Plan and other advance planning programs; and provides information to assist in the orderly growth and development of the County.

Building

The Building Division administers State and County building codes and ordinances to ensure buildings are safe for occupancy. This is accomplished through the permitting, plan review and inspection process.

Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement Division is concerned with complaints pertaining to Planning and Building codes and ordinances in the unincorporated areas of Butte County.

Online Permit Center

The Online Permit Center allows licensed contractors and home owners to apply for and receive building permits over the internet. It allows applicants to follow the status of their permit application and request inspections. Additionally, it allows the public to review permits and property information.
