Public Workshop for Draft Special Events Ordinance

November 21, 2013, 10:30am

Saturday, December 14, 2013/Categories: News & Announcements

The Butte County Planning Commission will hold a Public Workshop concerning the Draft Special Events Ordinance, which has been developed to establish standards for the operation of special event facilities accessory to an owner’s primary residence, applicable to the Agriculture, Timber Mountain, Rural Residential, Foothill Residential, and Very Low Density Residential zones. The draft ordinance identifies permit processes, based upon the size of the parcel, number of events, and the number of attendees. These provisions are necessary to reduce impacts to surrounding properties so that special event facilities do not result in an incompatible land use.
