PowerButte Solar Energy Survey

PowerButte Solar Energy Survey

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 29, 2015 – 11:55 a.m.
Contact: Dan Breedon, 530.538.7629
@County of Butte | Facebook.com/ButteCounty

Butte County is seeking input from the public to develop new zoning regulations that would streamline utility-scale solar installations, comprised of solar facilities from tens to potentially hundreds of acres in size, in Butte County, while protecting our County’s valuable natural resources, agricultural land and aesthetic resources. The County wants to know what issues, opportunities, and potential impacts you think are most important about solar energy development and how Butte County can become a place for clean energy.

Members of the public can answer one, some, or all of the questions in the online survey, which will take about 5-minutes to complete. This survey may be accessed by visiting buttecounty.granicusideas.com/ or the power.buttecounty.net website. Your voice matters! The survey results will be compiled by county staff and reviewed by Butte County decision makers as the PowerButte Solar Zone project continues forward.
