Our role is to work directly with families to: 

  • Establish paternity;
  • Establish and enforce child and/or medical support orders; and 
  • Monitor payment activity.
Ombudsperson Program

If you have a concern with the assistance you’re receiving from the local child support agency you have the right to file a complaint through the Complaint Resolution Program. Please contact our Ombudsperson, Ms. Duran, at 530.538.6516. As the Ombudsperson, Ms. Duran can:

  • Help you get child support services
  • Explain your rights and responsibilities
  • Help you resolve problems with your case
  • Explain the complaint process before, during, and after a complaint is filed
  • Help you request and prepare for a state hearing if you are not satisfied with the results of the complaint resolution process
