Make sure your account allows for electronic debits. Some do not. To reduce the chance of a returned item, we recommend that you only debit your personal checking account. Our web site allows property owners to search by assessment number, fee parcel number or address (see Legal Limitations below).
Verify the routing number for your financial institution. Make sure it is the number that is tied to the account you plan to debit. The order of the numbers on the bottom of your check may differ from the sample provided on the e-check payment page. We recommend that you obtain your routing number from your bank, not your check. Double check your account number. For the reason noted above, it is best to get this information from your bank as opposed to your check. Be very careful when you enter the routing and account numbers into the payment system. Entering an incorrect number will result in a returned payment and an additional $30.00 charge to your account. Penalties for late payments may also apply. |
