Mission Statement

The mission of the Butte County Sheriff's Office is to protect and serve the citizens of Butte County by providing vigorous, ethical, efficient law enforcement, and to increase public awareness of personal safety and security measures. We will provide humane custody and care for those incarcerated in the county jail.

In order to accomplish this mission, the Butte County Sheriff's Office will encourage employee professionalism through improved communication and by providing continuous and productive training. The Office is committed to provide a secure and comfortable work environment in which employees are encouraged to take pride in their work and strive for excellence. This Office realizes the importance of individual commitment and recognizes outstanding employee performance.
