Rehabilitation of Hegan Lane from the UPRR Tracks to the Midway, County Project No. 48203-2007-1
Description of Project:
The project involves rehabilitation of an approximately 0.83-mile portion of Hegan Lane in the
unincorporated area of Butte County south of Chico beginning approximately 60 feet east of the
Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) tracks on Hegan Lane and running 4,400 feet to approximately 90 feet
west of the intersection with Midway, wherein rehabilitation shall consist of: grinding off 4 inches of
the existing asphalt surface; performing an in-place full depth recycle (FDR) of the structural section
with deep lime stabilization followed by recycling the section again with a 16 inch deep cold foam inplace
recycling (CFIPR) process; then overlaying 4 inches with Type A hot mix asphalt. The project
also includes milling and resurfacing the existing pavement at the intersection of Hegan Lane at
Midway and 0.13-mile segments of the Midway extending approximately 350 feet north and south of
the intersection.
Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Director of Public Works, 7 County Center
Drive, Oroville, California, until 10:00 a.m. on March 16, 2011 at which time they will be publicly
opened and read aloud for construction in accordance with the project specifications and plans to
which special reference is made.
