County Declares State of Local Emergency

OROVILLE, CA –Butte County Chief Administrative Officer, Paul Hahn has proclaimed a state of local emergency for Butte County due to the Wall Fire. The County executed the proclamation in response to the fire, which has been burning in South-East Oroville since last Friday.

 

Proclaiming a Local Emergency allows the County to access more resources from the state to better assist fire fighters and local recovery efforts. For now, the County is focused on keeping residents informed, providing shelter for evacuees and their animals, and coordinating donation resources.
