Butte County Public Works OHV Grant Proposal Available for Review and Comment

The Butte County Department of Public Works is partnering with the Plumas National Forest Service -Feather River Ranger District and the Butte County Resource Conservation District to apply for a two-phase Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) grant to develop additional OHV recreational trails in the Granite Basin area.   This area is widely known and valued for its quality OHV recreation opportunities, historical significance, and beauty.

Annual OHV grant funds are administered through the California State Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division. Preliminary applications for the 2017 projects are available for review and comment beginning March 7th, 2017 at http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/ . Public comments will be used to finalize the proposal application. Final applications are due to the OHMVR Division by May 1st, 2017.

Additionally, Public Works will be holding a public information meeting to take input and to hear suggestions from trail users and other interested parties.  The meeting date is Thursday, March 30th, 2017, from 6pm to 7pm, at 44 Bellarmine Court, in Chico, CA.
