BUTTE COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS ANNOUNCES PAVING OF GRUBBS ROAD
Oroville, Calif. --Butte County Public Works has scheduled work crews to perform paving maintenance operations on Grubbs Road, in Oroville. Access to the road will be open, with a possibility of delays with traffic control. Work includes pothole repairs and applying a thin lift overlay to improve drivability, repair damaged portions of roadway, and seal the roadway from moisture to prevent pothole formation.
Times for application will vary daily, but will generally start during times of low traffic volumes, on June 15, 2020 – June 26, 2020 from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Roads will be open, but will have traffic control in place. Motorists should expect delays of up to 30 minutes. All work is being performed in strict conformance with State and Local COVID-19 social distancing rules and hand sanitization guidelines, with the goal of keeping our critical infrastructure repairs moving forward.
The Butte County Public Works Department has been serving its residents since 1850, providing cost effective roadway maintenance services. The Department maintains approximately 1,300 miles of roadways, over 500 bridges and drainage structures and more than 18,000 road signs.
