OCFA Safety & Performance Implications of Hydration, Body Core Temp & Rehabilitation

The OCFA undertook a research study to examine hydration status, exertion level, core body temperature, and core body temperature, and post incident cooling techniques. With this study, OCFA hoped to gain a better understanding of firefighter job demands. Implementing study recommendations should help to minimize the inherent risks associated with the firefighting profession resulting in a healthier, safer, and more productive work force.
