MAY 14, 2013 - BUTTE COUNTY CLIMATE ACTION PLAN (CAP) OPEN HOUSE - PRESS RELEASE
Join us on May 14, 2013, at our Butte County Climate Action Plan Open House!
When: Tuesday, May 14, 6pm to 8pm
Where: Lakeside Pavilion, 2565 Lakeside Village Commons, Chico
The Department of Development Services invites you to an evening open house to learn more about the Climate Action Plan and give feedback to County staff. To hear brief staff presentations and guest speakers, please arrive at 6 pm. The remainder of the evening will provide opportunities to learn more about the project and provide feedback through interactive materials and one-on-one conversations with staff. The open house will conclude at 8 pm. Please drop in anytime between 6 pm and 8 pm to share your ideas!
The Climate Action Plan will implement the County’s adopted General Plan by providing goals, measures, and actions that will be designed to help the County sustain its natural resources, grow efficiently, ensure long-term resiliency to a changing environmental and economic climate, and improve transportation. The Climate Action Plan will also support statewide greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals identified in CA Assembly Bill (AB) 32 and CA Senate Bill (SB) 375, intended to reduce the buildup of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere from human sources, which contribute to climate change.
Please join us for this important open house meeting, we look forward to meeting you!
