California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWorks)
The California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWorks), in partnership with Butte County Department of Employment and Social Services (DESS), provides individuals and families with counseling and treatment services for mental health or substance abuse issues that would hinder their ability to enter the workforce.

Outpatient Centers
Adult Outpatient Centers provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals requiring mental health or dual diagnosis treatment. The outpatient treatment team consists of trained professionals including psychiatrists, licensed therapists, psychiatric technicians, counselors, and support staff. Focus areas include mental health and substance abuse assessment, psychiatric assessment and evaluation for medication, medication monitoring, limited individual counseling, group counseling, bilingual counseling services, interpreter services, benefits services, and community services referral.

Stepping Stones (Perinatal Program)
Stepping Stones (Perinatal Program), in collaboration with Butte County Butte County Department of Employment and Social Services (DESS), is an outpatient program that provides substance abuse treatment to women who are pregnant or parenting children. Participants take an active role in the treatment process and learn effective parenting. Other services include women-specific issues; comprehensive case management; cooperative child care; transportation; parenting skills building; health education; child development education; linkages to medical and HIV/TB testing and counseling, education, job skills and other services.

Support, Employment, Assistance, Recovery, Consumer Housing (SEARCH)
Support, Employment, Assistance, Recovery, Consumer Housing (SEARCH) provides intensive services to individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness due to a severe and persistent mental illness. In addition to receiving mental health services, individuals are linked to the Housing Authority of Butte County, Department of Rehabilitation (DOR), Veterans Services, Legal Aid, Social Security Administration, and other needed services. Utilizing the Recovery Model philosophy, services include psychiatric support, medication management, employment services and referral, educational support, housing support, representative payee assistance, benefits counseling as well as medical and legal services referral. Services are tailored to meet each individual’s recovery needs.

Wellness and Recovery Centers (WRC)
The Wellness and Recovery Centers (WRC) are consumer driven and emphasize recovery oriented activities including peer support, socialization opportunities, life skill groups, reintegration into the community, employment services, and medication support. These centers are open to all community members. There is an on-site clinician to help consumers run there own groups and provide limited mental health support. The Nurse Practitioner supports consumers medication needs as they prepare to integrate back into the community. In coordination with North Valley Catholic Social Services there is a warm line, staffed by trained consumers to provide non-crisis assistance to consumers needing support after hours.

Drug Court
Adult Drug Court, in collaboration with the law enforcement and the court, provides access and treatment to felony offenders who have substance disorders. This is a voluntary program providing structure by linking supports and treatment with ongoing judicial oversight, probation supervision, and team management. BCDBH provides assessments, group and individual treatment, and referrals to residential treatment as indicated.

Family Treatment Court
Family Treatment Court incorporates substance abuse treatment services with the court system through a collaboration between the Butte County Department of Employment and Social Services (DESS), BCDBH, and Butte County Juvenile Court. The primary program goal is reunification of children and parents by providing treatment and support. BCDBH contributes by providing mental health and substance abuse counseling and education to parents.

Offender Treatment Program (OTP)
Individuals qualifying under the Substance Abuse Crime Prevention Act (SACPA), through the court, are referred to the Offender Treatment Program (OTP) for assessment and treatment of substance abuse disorders. Individuals are referred to residential treatment as indicated.
