• If the books or other materials are not on the shelf at your branch, you may reserve or place a "hold" on them.

• Customers of the Butte County Library system may reserve most books and materials (except reference books) held by any other branch library. These will be shipped when available to the branch of your choice and you will be notified either by phone, mail, or e-mail.

• If you have access to the Internet you may search the Butte County Library catalog. You will need a PIN (personal identification number) in addition to the barcode number from your library card to reserve books over the Internet. When you find the item you want, click on the “Place Hold” button and enter your library card barcode number and your PIN.

• Customers are limited to 4 holds per person per day.
