The California Children and Families Act is
intended to promote the health and well-being of young children and their
families; to improve developmental outcomes for children and help them
grow to their fullest potential. The
Act is designed to support delivery at the local level, a wide range of
programs and services to help families and communities support their
children and assure they have the best opportunities to grow and develop
fully. In addition, the local
strategic plan will be critical in meeting the goals of the Act, since the
plan will identify and address range of unique needs and conditions of
each community.
