The California Children and Families Act is intended to promote the health and well-being of young children and their families; to improve developmental outcomes for children and help them grow to their fullest potential.  The Act is designed to support delivery at the local level, a wide range of programs and services to help families and communities support their children and assure they have the best opportunities to grow and develop fully.  In addition, the local strategic plan will be critical in meeting the goals of the Act, since the plan will identify and address range of unique needs and conditions of each community.

The Butte County Children and Families Commission offers this site to the public.  The site’s purpose is to inform and seek input as the Commission carries out its duty in the administration of the funds allocated to Butte County through The California Children and Families Act of 1998.  For the complete text of the Proposition 10 - Act, see www.ccfc.ca.gov
